Tried a few years ago (Version 10) but have finally gotten to the point I could use it again and need some help. Just not sure where to look for appropriate applications.
I have a Magellan, eXplorist 400, gps device and would like to work with it on my laptop and running Ubuntu 14.04. When I connect it via usb there is no recognition by Ubuntu and all it does is charge. I would like to be able to download the info from the gps but have no idea of what to use in Ubuntu to make it workable, or if there is such an application available.
Any suggestions? I tried WINE previously but had way too many problems with that to make it worth using.
Thanks for any assist,
Phil
