Generally speaking, is it best to wait until Ubuntu tells me I have updates, or should I periodically run the software updater? I did a new clean install of 16.04 two days ago, which went fine, but so far I have not seen any updates. I did check the box for downloading updates during the install, perhaps that is the reason?
