Internet Connection Quit. Shows Connected but there is no Access

Hello,

I have upgraded Ubuntu after an absence.

It all worked fine, was going great, until the browser crashed. Now, sudo service network-manager restart shows connected. No internet to the browser, email, or command line downloads. I am getting into dead ends on this. No amount of restarts help.
