(having apache error when trying to post, may be repost, excuse if it is)
Hi,
I really like linux, have used it for my desktop for years now. I like to tinker and work out problems as they arise.
This problem has stumped me.
Problem: when I copy files from desktop to NAS, when i check the permissions on the file on the NAS: owner=me read/write, group=public read only. The real problem is that when I have to use my Win10 box, I am unable to modify these files on NAS.
I mount via fstab line and CIFS.
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
NAS: NAS4free
I am not sure how to have the existing group=public be read/write.
Rambling and humbly yours,
fisheater
