Hi,
I'm new to Ubuntu desktop, but been using the server version for a few months new and been very happy. I did an install of Ubuntu off a USB I made following instructions I found on the Ubunutu website. Installation ran fine in Legacy mode since I have Windows 7 on an M.2 and hoped to have Linux on an SSD and just choose what to boot to in the BIOS. The installation went fine, but after I booted up the OS, all I saw was a wallpaper and my mouse. Clicking does nothing and pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 ect only brings up a blank screen. But inputs do work as I was able to restart my PC in the terminal by using sudo reboot and it worked. Proving the terminal does work, I just can't see it.
I believe this is a graphics issue or somthing. Not sure how Linux works with Nvidia graphics cards, I have a 980Ti.
Could anyone give me a easy to follow guide on how to fix this problem?
Thanks.
