No sound on Xenial Xerus

Hi everyone,

I recently did a fresh install of 16.04. I was quite happy with it but all in a sudden my sound stopped working. No sound at all. I have no visible devices in sound settings. I have a conextant on board and also hdmi audio of my amd apu. But I can hear sound during log off and volume option is not greyed out at all, only in login screen. But as i said before after logging no sound at all. I tried reinstalling pulse audio server but with no luck after which I lost the sound at login screen also .
