How to repair corrupt print driver?

I can dual-boot into either Windows Vista or Ubuntu on my laptop computer.
I have a Samsung ML-2240 laser printer connected by USB cable.

I used to be able to print from both Vista and Ubuntu. Now, I can print from Vista, but not from Ubuntu.

Going through the “Add Printer” routine in Ubuntu does not make the printer work.

I guess that the driver in Ubuntu has become corrupt.

How do I mend the corrupt driver?
