[xubuntu] Printing via a net samba printer has suddenly stopped (16.04.1 LTS)

Hi,
I've installed Xubuntu Xenial 16.04.1 LTS on my new notebook and then I've managed to install a net samba printer (using a domain/login/password) and printed out test pages.
Well, I was happy.

After some time (and a couple of upgrades, I'd say) I needed to print out some doc and to my great surprise I got an error instead:

Code:

"Connection failed: NT_STATUS_Unsuccessful"
"Unable to connect to CIFS host, will retry in 60 seconds..."

I've tried both reinstalling the printer again and a maintenance via CUPS (http://localhost:631/), unfortunately, in vain.
However, I was still able to log on to the domain using the same credentials (I had used during the printer's installation).

As I'm not an hardcore user, I'll share my findings here and I'll wait for further questions/recommendations/whatever:
