[xubuntu] Can't enable AMD R5 (JetXT) on HP 355 G2?

I'm trying to enable the secondary, more powerful Radeon R5 JetXT graphics card in my HP 355 G2 laptop. However, the open-source drivers refuse to recognize it and stick with the basic Radeon R3 (Mullins) card, which cuts FPS in half as compared to the Windows drivers. I'm using Xubuntu 16.04 LTS wich has the proprietary fglrx drivers removed.

Can the radeon drivers somehow be configured to utilize the other card? Or maybe is there a command to run applications in R5 mode?
