Hello folks,
I just finished the update from 15.10 to 16.04. I still have the old Ubuntu Software Center available and it looks to work still.
However the articles I have read seem to indicate that is going away for 16.04 and Ubuntu Software is the replacement.
It shows installed packages. It shows updates. But it refuses to show new packages that can be installed at all.
I get to the tab where those packages are to appear and I get no network. Seems to indicate once you click on the Network button that I need a proxy. But I am not behind a proxy at all. I am directly via a Network Router to FIOS.
The browsers work just fine. Update works just fine GUI and command line.
But Ubuntu Software fails to show any new packages. I tried telling Network there was no Proxy with NONE. No dice.
So looking for suggestions on how to get this to work.
Ubuntu Software Center does appear to work.
