Thread deleted due to moderator not understanding what Snort it

Hi,

I created a thread asking for ideas to resolve a problem I had with the Snort add-on BASE. If you are unaware Snort is an intrusion detection system that listens for potential malicious activity. BASE provides a front-end for Snort.

The moderator 'jeremy31' didn't understand what Snort or BASE is and decided to bin my thread as he thought it was about 'cracking'.

I would like my thread reinstated. It would be wise for the security forum to be moderated by someone who knows the difference between network defence against potential malicious activity and password cracking.
