How Can I Boot From "(intrumfs)_"?

mercredi 17 août 2016

I am a complete newbie!!! When attempting to boot upLinux Mint 17.2 Mate, I get -

GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1.2

And, in a window, it shows selections for -

*Linux Mint 17.2 MATE 32-bit
Advanced Options for Linux Mint 17.2 MATE 32-bit
Memory Test (memtest+)
Memory Test (memtest+, serial console 115200)

Then, below the window -

Use ↑ & ↓ keys to select...
Press enter to boot the selected OS, `e' to edit the commands before booting or `c' for a command line.

In selecting *Linux... it runs through a process ending with -

Busy Box v1.21.1 (ubuntu 1:1.21.0-1ubu8ntu1) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands
(intrumfs)_

With `c' I get -

GNU GRUB version 2.2~beta2-9ubuntu1.2

Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions. ESC...exits

With `e' I get -

set params...

and, I am given several options

I downloaded the Boot-Repair to a USB Drive, but have not tried to use it yet.

Thanks for any help. When I was sent here (From Ubuntu to Mint forum), I lost the help I was getting.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
